Great Impressions - June Stamp of the Month 2015

Can you believe it is June already? School is out, time to relax and kick your feet back and enjoy the Summer!

For this month, the June theme is all about Summer and enjoying the beautiful weather. We've got images of flip flops, flamingos, a sandy beach, pinwheels and more!

 These stamps would be great for card making, creating tags or to use in your scrapbooks.

This month the coordinating stamps are in the price range of  $5.99 to $13.49 each. The Stamp of the Month, "Tu Tu Flamingos" is on a sale price of $9.74, white tag price of $12.99.  

These are all individually sold wood mounted stamps available in aisle 10 of our

Paper Crafts Department. We have the card sample board shown above in our stamping aisle to view as well. 

A printed project sheet with full instructions on how to create each card is available both in our store as well as online to print. A sample photo of the inspiration board above is also available in our store.

Free Make & Take: Thinking of You Card.

In honor of National Craft Month we will be offering free Make & Take projects every Saturday throughout the month!

Join us this Saturday between 1-3pm at the Paper Crafts Demo Counter to make this Thinking of You Always Card.

Card Chaos Cards.

Win It Wednesday: Card Making Kit.

It's time for another WIN IT WEDNESDAY!!

June Basic Copic Class.

On June 5th we will be offering our next session of our Basic Copic Card class.  Join Heather to learn the basics of the Copic Markers, including basic blending techniques and other tips to get you started. You will be creating the three cards above to practice what you learn in class.

The class will be held on Tuesday June 5th from 6-8 pm. Call or stop in to register. You can read more about the class HERE.

Card Chaos for Everyday Moments.

A few weeks ago we hosted our second 'big' Card Chaos event at the Moose Lodge. And once again the event was a huge success! We had such a great time with those of you that were able to attend the event.

Those that did attend moved from station to station throughout the day to create the TWENTY cards that you see below! I have included links to the project sheets for each of these cards for those of you that would like to recreate any of these projects.

Card Chaos Everyday Moments: Sneak Peek!

Today I have sneak peeks of four of the cards we will be creating at the Card Chaos: Everyday Moments Event that will be held next Saturday from 10am-5pm. We still have six spots open in this event so if you would like to join us in creating 20 different cards (including the four you see below), you can register here.

National Craft Month - Make & Takes

As part of our continuing celebration of National Craft Month we have another set of Make and Takes and product samples scheduled for tomorrow (March 17th) afternoon.

All three of the events will run from 1-3pm.

First, we are going to have this Magnetic Clothespin Make & Take available at the end of aisle 20. Join Brianna to make this adorable flower embellished clothespin that would be great to hold photos, papers, notes, etc.

You can also join Heather at our Paper Crafts Demo Counter to make this fun "Happy Egg Day" Easter card that I'm sure anyone would love to receive! You will get to assemble the card and work with Stampendous and Penny Black stamps.

Finally, after all that crafting be sure to stop by our Kitchen Display room to sample a few of our Wind & Willow favorites!

 

A few other notes for the weekend:

-The Girl Scouts will be here for a final weekend selling cookies. They will be here on Friday 4-6pm, Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 11am-5pm.

-Our new Easter Sale Ad starts today!

-And of course our National Craft Month Ad is still running as well!

Card Chaos for Everyday Moments

Our next Card Chaos event is coming up at the end of March...and registration will be opening for the event on March 3rd!!  Mark your calendars now and join us for this fun filled day of card making, friends, and food - and also a goodie bag for good measure. March Class Calendar.

Our March class calendar is now available online!  Check out some of the fun things we are offering- we would love to have you join us for some creative time or to learn something new. Happy New Year! It is a great time to learn something new and we are offering many classes to teach you a new craft/hobby. Everything from cake decorating to card making. Holiday Open House, Tomorrow!

Tomorrow, Saturday, November 12th, is our Holiday Open House, and we have some fun things planned. At our Coffee Shop from 9am to 11am there will be free cider and cookies. We will also be offering these free make & takes.
From 9am to noon, we will be offering the Alcohol Ink Snowflake Magnet at the Paper Crafts Demo Counter(end of aisle 11). At the Paints & Basics Demo Counter (end of aisle 18) we will be offering the Reindeer Notepad.

From 1pm to 4pm, we will be offering the Snowman Card at the Paper Crafts Demo Counter. At the Paints & Basics Demo Counter we will be offering the Glitter It Snowflake Ornament.

During these times our friend Teri will be available to personalize ornaments, at the front of aisle 7. We hope you, your family and/or friends will be able to join us for the day. See you then!

Copic Card Class.

I am so excited to announce the addition of a new class to our August class calendar!! On Monday, August 22nd we will be offering our first Copic Card Class. Come join our instructor Heather as she teaches you the basics of Copic markers, some blending techniques to get you started and some other tricks and techniques to using these markers. To utilize what you learn in class you will be making the three cards shown above. Now is your chance to learn how to use these markers that will take your coloring to a whole new level!

Classes Classes and more Classes!

There are still openings in some of our February classes and we have added some classes to our March Calendar. Including some Happily Ever After classes for brides to be and a Flower & Cake Design class, the next course after basic cake decorating. Soon we will be posting our demo's and make & takes that we will also be holding in March for National Craft Month (NCM). The necklace pictured on the right is the Rosemaling project for this months class. Isn't it beautiful?



We hope to have April's calendar up soon, but will tell you the dates for our Card Chaos classes. They will be held on Tuesday's April 12th and April 19th from 6pm to 8:30pm. We are trying something new, we are offering a daytime card class on April 19th from 2pm to 4:30pm. This will hopefully allow more people to get into the class since it is a popular one.

14 Days of Love 2011: Day 14

Day 14: Doodlebug Layouts & Card - The day has arrived! Love has filled the air and what better way to capture it than in a layout and a card for that special someone. These were created by the very talented Sarah Lynn, who just loves Doodlebug products. Stop into Crafts Direct to get the Doodlebug Sweet Love Collection to recreate these pages/card for yourself. Christmas Candy Crafts!

World Card Making Day This Saturday!

Join us, as we celebrate World Card Making Day (WCMD) this Saturday October 2nd from 1pm to 3pm. You can stop in and make this adorable card, that our friend Heather designed using Echo Park Papers, and Unity itty bitty stamps. You won't want to miss out on this FREE make & take.

Unity Stamp Co. Make & Take

Join us this Saturday(Sept. 25th), along with Angela from Unity Stamp Co.. She will be at Crafts Direct from 11am to 1pm offering a make & take of this adorable card, at the Paper Crafts Demo Counter. Feel free to stop in, say hi and make this card. We hope to see you!

September Calendar of Events

It is that time of year again where we get back into the swing of things and offer more classes and do more events inside and outside of the store. We have been very busy preparing for our 20th Anniversary which started last Sunday, so with that started we finally had a chance to get the September calendar online. With summer going by so fast, September just snuck up on us. Sorry for the Delay. A few things have changed such as our Sit and Knit Night, and we added a Gypsy Class. In October we hope to add a Beginner Cake Decorating course and a Bridal class or two. Be sure to check out September's calendar as we have a lot planned, not only classes but make & takes and a Cricut Cake demo.
