The first Saturday in May is National Scrapbook Day! This is a great reason to sign up for a Scrapbooking Class or learn a new technique. Grab a friend to take the class, or make a new friend at the class!

Friday Night Scrap 

May 1, 2015 

 Six full hours of scrapbooking fun!  Snacks will be provided, along with great prizes. A Cricut will be available to use.

Saturday All Day Scrap 

May 2, 2015 

 Seven full hours of scrapbooking fun!  Snacks will be provided. Those who would like to continue scrapping after 4:30 are invited to use the classroom until 7:30pm. Great door prizes & giveaways all day! A Cricut will be available to use.

Fuse Photo Sleeve Product Demo

Also on Saturday, May 2, we will have special Scrapbooking events and sales to honor National Scrapbooking Day such as a Fuse Photo Sleeve Product Demo from 

1:00PM - 3:00PM at the Paper Crafts Demo Counter. 

Cupcake Bouquet Class

Want to learn how to make a fun centerpiece for grad parties, showers, weddings, Mother’s Day or family reunions? Join Mindy, as she teaches you different techniques to transform cupcakes into flowers, how to assemble them into a bouquet, as well as, showing you 

some ideas on how to take it to the next level by adding fake flowers, etc. Most supplies included. Please bring with some bowls for mixing frosting colors.

 Quilt Time Event  

The Quilt Time Event is a gathering of creative people that like to quilt & sew. We will be holding this event at the Moose Lodge in Waite Park - located less than two miles from Crafts Direct. This two day event is the perfect time to finish your sewing projects - or to tackle a new one!

    Saturday, May 9th (9am-11pm)
  $75 for Two Days. Limited to 25 people.

Quilt Venture

In this class you will be creating a 33x33” Drunkard’s Path wall hanging. Do you love the look of the curves the Drunkard Path pattern, but just can’t fathom setting a curved piece into place? The Trace ‘n Create quilt template is the key to creating those challenging curves! The Drunkard’s Path will become a ‘walk in the park!’

 

Lunch will be provided from our Coffee Shop. The class will be limited to 10 people, so sign up soon! A supply list is available at Customer Service.

MN String Art Workshop 

Have you noticed the HUGE trend in string art lately? Are you wondering how to create such fun, whimsical pieces? Join us (with your hammer) to learn how to create this comfort from home (MN)! When you leave here you will be inspired to keep hammering! This class includes the wood, stain, nails, string, and instruction. Don’t forget to bring your own hammer (and ear plugs, if several people hammering at once is too much for your ears).

October Event Calendar

Knitting 101

Learn the basics of knitting and finish your very own dishcloth. This class will teach the knit-stitch. All materials are provided.
This is a two-session class: October 1st & 8th

 Course 3: Gumpaste & Fondant


(4 classes in the course)  Mindy will lead you every step of the way as you create amazing hand shaped flowers, beautiful borders and bold accents using these easy-to-shape icings. As you learn these techniques such as – an artful bow, mum, rose, carnation, calla lily, rosebud, daisy, and embellished borders and more, you’ll gain confidence as you decorate with gum paste and fondant. This will enable you to create cakes that will add excitement to your family celebrations for years to come.
Class will be held: October 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th from 6:00 - 8:00pm

Tall Cake Class

Marcia will teach you how to assemble a tiered cake. You will, also, learn some unique borders, swags and some new flowers, which include an orchid. This one will be another fun one! Fee does not include supplies. Supply list available at the time of registration.

Ruffle Scarf Class-for Knitters (1 of 2)

Did you ever wonder how to make these fun ruffle scarfs? If so, you are not alone. Requested by many we have added this ruffle scarf class. Laura will walk you through the steps of casting on, knitting your very own ruffle scarf and casting off to finish it. This is a two session class. & will be held October 23rd & 30th. Christmas Geomesh Wreath Class



Make a Christmas wreath using a popular product called Geo Mesh. Susie will walk you through the steps of creating your very own wreath. All supplies are included.

Upcoming Classes.

Looking ahead at the week we have some great classes on the schedule and luckily a few of them even have some open spots for you to join us!

Tomorrow (Tuesday May 7th) we have a couple of spots open in our Coloring with Copics class. If you've taken our Basic Copic class or have experience with the Copic markers this class if for you! Join Heather to learn a few of the more advanced techniques in this class.

On Wednesday (5/8) the first session of our Wilton: Course 3 (Gumpaste & Fondant) cake decorating class will be held. Join us for this four session class and learn the techniques of using these icing types to create a stunning cake.

Finally, we do also have some spaces open in our Crop scheduled for Friday night (May10th). Join us for an evening of creative time, dinner is provided as are snacks, a goodie bag, and the chance to win some fun prizes!

Happy New Year! It is a great time to learn something new and we are offering many classes to teach you a new craft/hobby. Everything from cake decorating to card making. Up Coming Classes

March is winding down but our classes are not. We have a pretty full schedule leading right into the month of April. This week we are offering some classes that you can still get in on. Wednesday evening, March 30th, Nicole will be teaching her fabulous class: Mini Book Club: Enjoy Today. Created from Three Bugs in a Rug line: April Showers. Shown below is the actual book that will be completed in class from front to back.
We are also hosting a Friday Night Scrap on Friday April 1st, no foolin'. We still have openings in that, as well as, our kids class on Saturday, April 2nd. Check out our calendar of events and get more info on these classes and others here.

Friday Night Scrap!

Since, Scrapbooks Plus closed, we have decided to offer a Friday Night Scrap on February 20th. If it goes well we will try to offer more of them. They will begin at 5pm and go until 11pm and if we don't have any classes during the day you are more than welcome to come early.
