Project Ideas: Memo Boards

I've shared different Memo Board project ideas plenty times on the blog before - and today I wanted to share with you our latest samples. The best part about these pieces is that once you have the main components (the frame, the bulletin board or magnetic board, and if you are making a calendar the overlay) - by just changing out the paper and embellishments you use you can create an entire new look for each month or season (or just to change it up!).

Below you will find six samples we recently created using the Memo Board base for the spring months:

Calendar Class.

I'm very excited to tell you all about Calendar Class we will be offering later this month! For only $20 you will get everything you need to create one of these custom photo calendars - using coordinating pattern paper, cardstock and stickers from American Crafts. This would be a great project to create for yourself - and would also be a great handmade gift to give grandparents, a spouse, aunts, uncles, or really anyone on your Christmas list!

What makes this project even better - is that once the year is over, each layout can be easily removed from the calendar binding and placed into a 8x8 album to be enjoyed for years to come.

We will be offering the class twice - once as a daytime class (November 27th from 10am-12pm) and also as an evening class (November 28th from 6-8pm). If you would like to join us to create a calendar of your own please call or stop in to register.

You can also find more information about the class HERE.

Creepy Crafts - Day 1.

Today I'm very excited to start our Creepy Crafts Countdown here on the blog!

In addition to any of our regular blog posts, everyday now through October 31st I will be sharing a October/Halloween themed craft. If you have any questions on the projects please feel free to post them in the comments and I will reply to you there.

Today I thought I would start with a project that can help you stay organized and prepared for the month ahead - an October Calendar Board. We created this calendar by adding a piece of Halloween themed pattern paper and calendar overlay to a simple frame, then embellished it a bit with chipboard pieces, metal brads and ribbon, and then added a title using letter stickers. The best part about this calendar is that we used a dry erase marker directly on the glass to add the dates and the calendar information. So for the next month just change out the October stickers, paper and embellishments and you can make a custom calendar for November.

New Memo & Calendar Boards.

Today I wanted to share with you a few new samples of our memo/calendar boards that Sarah Lynn created.

If you happen to have one that was decorated with a Christmas theme - now is the perfect time to simply swap out the paper and embellishments and create a new look for the upcoming season/month. And if you don't have one already - this is a really easy, fun way to get crafty and also a useful piece to add to your home!

25 Days of Christmas 2011: Day 8

Day 8: Memo and Magnetic Boards

A fun way to add some practical holiday decor to your home or office is with one of our Memo or Magnetic boards. Decorated as a calendar or a holiday board they create a perfect place to keep track of your holiday events, hang Christmas cards, or display holiday photos. The best part is once you have the frame created you can easily change out the embellishments and paper to create a new look for the next month or season. Here are few that we created for December and January:
