Our New Simplified Events Calendar

Have you seen our newly updated Events Calendar on our website? We now have a more simplified design to better serve you, our customers! Now you can also receive weekly updates for our events by simply entering in your email address. 

You can hover over the select class or click to open the highlighted link and find more information regarding that class/event. For example, you can find information such as, the time the class starts and ends, a brief description of the class and the cost.

New options with this newly designed calendar that are available include "Sharing the Event" to Facebook, Twitter and copying the link for other personal use. 

You can also share the entire specified month calendar of events.

Yet another great feature is the ability to "save an event" to your preferred electronic calendar.

What I like best about this new design is the visual timeline of available classes for the month. This can be found on the lower half of the main event calendar page.

You may sign up for classes at the customer service desk, or call 654-0907. Class fees are due at the time of sign-up to reserve your spot. We gladly accept credit cards over the phone for your convenience. If you are signing up for a class or have already please read our class policies.

Tutoring on Thursdays (for Quilters)

Here at Crafts Direct we would love to assist you in selecting your next quilt projects, with fabrics, patterns, etc. We want to also be the quilt shop that helps you to attain the methods and techniques that we have found that will enable you to create some very wonderful pieces. That is why we are offering this free class the first two Thursdays each month.

Anyone from beginner to expert is welcome. Bring your current quilting project and join us in the classroom! Karen P. our quilting instructor will be available to answer any questions or help you out if needed.

Mindy will teach you to create breathtaking icing flowers such as pansies, lilies and the famous Wilton Rose. Throughout the four 2-hour sessions you will learn the basic principals of cake design, how to make royal icing, parchment bags, flower stems, gum paste and fondant will also be covered. This is an advanced class - you must have taken Course 1, or have prior cake decorating experience to take this class.

This is a four session class & will be held: January 12th, 19th, 26th & February 2nd.

Knitting 101 (1 of 2)

Card Chaos Cards.

Our latest group of postings are the eight cards that we created and taught at our Card Chaos Classes in January of this year. You can find them on our website, as well as on our Facebook Page and our Pinterest Board.

Upcoming Classes: Basic Cake Decorating Class.

Coming up in the month of March we will be offering our four session Wilton Basic Cake Decorating Class!

On Monday evenings from 6-8:30pm through the month of March we will be offering the four Course 1 decorating classes. In this class Mindy will walk you through the steps of how to bake and decorate your first cake. More information about this Course can be found on our class calendar HERE.

Upcoming Classes: February Beading Classes.

This month we have some great project scheduled for our two Beading classes! 

The two projects that we will be creating at our Beading classes are posted below  - where you can also find project instructions - if you are new to beading (or just want some expert tips) and would like to join us for the class our instructor Laura will walk you through all of the steps and instructions to create the projects.

In our Beading 101 class (scheduled for Thursday 2/20) we will be creating this Square Frame Necklace and Earrings Set.

Upcoming Events: Card Chaos for Everyday Moments.

Mark your calendars and get ready to join us for a full day of card making fun! Our Card Chaos classes and special events have become hugely popular and we are excited to offer you another one!

The event will take place on Saturday, March 22nd from 10am- 5pm and registration for the event will begin on Sunday, February 16th at 7pm. Registration is available online only and will be open to the fist 80 people to sign up.

Our first Copic Card class of the new year is coming up next week! On Tuesday, January 7th we will be offering our Basic Copic Card class which is the perfect class for anyone who wants to get started with Copic Markers and learn the basics. While you learn the techniques you will also be completing the three cards you see below! We would love to have you join us for this fun and creative class!

We have some great projects for both of our Beading classes again this month! The Beading 101 class is scheduled for next Thursday (Oct. 17th) from 6-8:30pm and we will be making this Crystal and Pearl Illusion Necklace and Earring Set. 

The following Thursday (Oct. 24th) from 6-8:30pm our Beading 201 class is scheduled. In this class we will be making the Looped Wire Form Necklace below.

We still have a few spots open in our Coloring with Copics class that is scheduled for tomorrow evening from 6-8:30pm. If you have experience using Copic Markers or have taken our Basic Class before this is the right class for you! Please call or stop in to register. Upcoming Events: "Holly Day" Card Chaos.

Mark your calendars for our next Holly Day Card Chaos!!

The event will be held on Saturday, November 16th and will consist of six full hours of card making...where you will create 20 different cards by the end of the day.

Registration opens on Sunday, September 22th at 7:00p. Registration will be available online only and is limited to 80 people.

I'm very excited to let you all know that our Beading Classes here at Crafts Direct are back!! And the projects for both the Beading 101 and 201 classes for this month are awesome. Our instructor Laura has come up with some great pieces - that will not only be fun to make (and learn techniques in the process) but the finished products will be great pieces to have in your jewelry box as well.

Our Beading 101 class is scheduled for this Thursday (Sept. 19th) from 6-8:30pm. We will be making this Earth Tones Necklace and Earrings Set.

In our Beading 201 class we will be making this Single to Triple Strand Necklace, and that class is scheduled for next Thursday (Sept. 26th) from 6-8:30pm as well.
