Upcoming Classes: Our April Class Calendar.

Hello April! 

We have some fun and exciting classes scheduled here at Crafts Direct this month! And right now we have at least one spot open in all of the classes we have on the calendar....although I know a few of the classes are certain to fill up and they will probably go fast!

Advanced Copic Class: Take your Copic coloring to the next level with a focus on light and shadow. Learn how to use a basic light guide and practice coloring images with light coming from different directions. You should have an understanding of basic techniques using Copic markers and should have taken the Copic Basics class or an equivalent previously. You will complete two cards in this class. 

 

Beading 101: Learn the basics of jewelry making, including how to use some of the beading tools. Complete these two beautiful bracelets while you learn. We provide the materials. 

Beading 201: Take your beading to the next level! In this class you’ll complete this Stars, Stripes & Braids Necklace while you learn  - we provide the materials.

Cake Decorating: Mindy will teach you to create breathtaking icing flowers such as pansies, lilies and the famous Wilton Rose. Throughout the four 2-1/2 hour sessions you will learn the basic principals of cake design, how to make royal icing, parchment bags, flower stems, gum paste and fondant will also be covered. This is an advanced class - you must have taken Course 1, or have prior cake decorating experience to take this class.
This is a four session class & will be held: April 28th, May 5th, 12th & 19th.

Knitting 101: Learn the basics of knitting and finish your very own dishcloth. This class will teach the knit-stitch. All materials are provided.
This is a two-session class: April 9th & 16th

Project Life Workshop: Bring your Project Life album & supplies and join Nicole in the classroom for a couple of hours of uninterrupted scrapbooking.  Nicole will be available to answer questions, show you the latest products and help those who aren’t exactly sure how to get started. This is a free workshop and registration is not required.

Quilt Tutoring: Here at Crafts Direct we would love to assist you in selecting your next quilt projects, with fabrics, patterns, etc. We want to also be the quilt shop that helps you to attain the methods and techniques that we have found that will enable you to create some very wonderful pieces. That is why we are offering this free class the first two Thursdays each month.
Anyone from beginner to expert is welcome. Bring your current quilting project and join us in the classroom! Karen P. our quilting instructor will be available to answer any questions or help you out if needed.

Quilt Venture: Make a fun quilting project during this class. Lunch will be provided from our Coffee Shop. The class will be limited to 10 people, so sign up soon! The pattern is included, but other supplies are not – a supply list is available at Customer Service.

 

Upcoming Classes: Basic Cake Decorating Class.

Coming up in the month of March we will be offering our four session Wilton Basic Cake Decorating Class!

On Monday evenings from 6-8:30pm through the month of March we will be offering the four Course 1 decorating classes. In this class Mindy will walk you through the steps of how to bake and decorate your first cake. More information about this Course can be found on our class calendar HERE.

Upcoming Classes: February Beading Classes.

This month we have some great project scheduled for our two Beading classes! 

The two projects that we will be creating at our Beading classes are posted below  - where you can also find project instructions - if you are new to beading (or just want some expert tips) and would like to join us for the class our instructor Laura will walk you through all of the steps and instructions to create the projects.

In our Beading 101 class (scheduled for Thursday 2/20) we will be creating this Square Frame Necklace and Earrings Set.

 

And in our Beading 201 class (scheduled for Thursday 2/27) we will be creating this Front Clasp Dangle Necklace.

Upcoming Classes: Basic Copic Class

Our first Copic Card class of the new year is coming up next week! On Tuesday, January 7th we will be offering our Basic Copic Card class which is the perfect class for anyone who wants to get started with Copic Markers and learn the basics. While you learn the techniques you will also be completing the three cards you see below! We would love to have you join us for this fun and creative class!

Upcoming Classes: Beading 101 & 201.

As we enter a new year I always find myself thinking of the things I want to accomplish, the things I would love to learn, and the crafts I want to complete....

If you have any of the same thoughts I would love to suggest that you take a peek at our Class Calendar for the month of January. We have some great new classes coming up - including Card Making classes, Copic Marker Classes, Knitting, Crocheting, Quilting, and two courses (101 and 201) of Beading Classes as well!

Upcoming Classes: November Beading Classes.

Coming up on our Class Calendar for next week are both our Beading 101 and Beading 201 classes for November! 

In our Beading 101 class - which is scheduled for Wednesday (Nov. 20th) from 6-8:30pm - we will  be making these two beautiful bracelets. The class will teach you the basics of beading, including how to use some of the basic tools.

If you have taken our Beading 101 class or have general beading knowledge already we also have a Beading 201 class scheduled for Thursday of next week (November 21st) from 6-8:30pm. In this class we will be creating these four pairs of earrings!

Upcoming Classes: Quilt Venture.

We still have spots in our Quilt Venture class, which is scheduled for this Saturday (Oct. 19th) from 9:30-5pm!

Join our instructor Karen and make this Kwik Chevron Quilt! Chevrons are popping up in designs everywhere - why not create some in a quilt?

Upcoming Classes: October Beading 101 & 201.

We have some great projects for both of our Beading classes again this month! The Beading 101 class is scheduled for next Thursday (Oct. 17th) from 6-8:30pm and we will be making this Crystal and Pearl Illusion Necklace and Earring Set. 

The following Thursday (Oct. 24th) from 6-8:30pm our Beading 201 class is scheduled. In this class we will be making the Looped Wire Form Necklace below.

We would love to have you join us for these Beading (or any of our other) class this month! Please call or stop in to per-register if you can make it.

Upcoming Classes: September.

As we start preparing to send the kids or grandkids back to school - don't let the excitement of learning something new this September pass you by - join us for one of the classes we offer here at Crafts Direct!

Our class calendar for September is posted and is full of creative learning opportunities for a wide variety of interests. We have Copic Classes, Scrapbooking Crops, a Ruffle Scarf Class, Knitting 101, Cake Decorating, TWO new Beading Classes - plus more - AND we will also be offering product samples and Make & Takes throughout the month of September as we celebrate our 23rd Anniversary!

Crop Spots Still Open!

We still have spots open in both our Friday Night AND Saturday All Day crops this weekend! Not only do you get time and space to work on any of your paper crafting projects - but we also provide a meal, snacks, door prizes and giveaways! We would love to have you join us!

Upcoming Classes: Basic Copic Class

Next week we will once again be offering our Basic Copic Card Class. If you have been wanting to learn more about using Copic Markers this is the place to start! The class will be held on Tuesday, June 4th from 6-8pm. Our instructor Heather will walk you through the steps of learning the basics - plus you will get to leave with three completed cards.

*We do have two additional Copic classes we offer as well (Coloring with Copics and Advanced Copic: Lights & Shadows) for you to continue your Copic learning once you have completed this basic course.

Upcoming Classes.

Looking ahead at the week we have some great classes on the schedule and luckily a few of them even have some open spots for you to join us!

Tomorrow (Tuesday May 7th) we have a couple of spots open in our Coloring with Copics class. If you've taken our Basic Copic class or have experience with the Copic markers this class if for you! Join Heather to learn a few of the more advanced techniques in this class.

On Wednesday (5/8) the first session of our Wilton: Course 3 (Gumpaste & Fondant) cake decorating class will be held. Join us for this four session class and learn the techniques of using these icing types to create a stunning cake.

Finally, we do also have some spaces open in our Crop scheduled for Friday night (May10th). Join us for an evening of creative time, dinner is provided as are snacks, a goodie bag, and the chance to win some fun prizes!
