Openings in our Holly Day Card Chaos Event (November 16th)

We still have openings for our Holly Day Card Chaos all day event for this Sunday, November 16th from 9am - 4pm. Price for all day class is $50. 

Holly Day Card Chaos is 7 full hours of holiday card making fun! Move from station to station, creating a different Christmas or holiday themed card at each one. By the end of the day, you’ll have 20 completed cards.

Card Chaos Cards.

A reminder that you can find supply lists and project instructions for all the projects we post online and share in-store on our website CraftsDirect.com.

Our latest group of postings are the eight cards that we created and taught at our Card Chaos Classes in January of this year. You can find them on our website, as well as on our Facebook Page and our Pinterest Board.

Upcoming Classes: Basic Copic Class

Our first Copic Card class of the new year is coming up next week! On Tuesday, January 7th we will be offering our Basic Copic Card class which is the perfect class for anyone who wants to get started with Copic Markers and learn the basics. While you learn the techniques you will also be completing the three cards you see below! We would love to have you join us for this fun and creative class!

Upcoming Events: Happy Halloween Card Make & Take.

In honor of our 23nd Anniversary Celebration, we have some great Make & Takes and product samplings scheduled this month. (You can check out the complete calendar of events HERE.)

This Saturday (Sept. 14th) we will be offering this Happy Halloween Card as our Free Make & Take project. The make and take will be held from 1-3pm at our Paper Crafts Demo Counter. We hope to see you there!

Washi Week: Tuesday.

For today's Washi Tape Week projects I wanted to share you with you some paper crafting project ideas.

Washi Tape is easy to add to any paper crafting project and is great because you can find it in so many styles and colors - making it very easy to match whatever project you are working on.

Upcoming Classes: Advanced Copics Class

 
Next week we are offering a brand new Copic class - which will focus on light and shadow - and we still have two spots available if you want to join us! The class is scheduled for Tuesday, May 28th from 6-8pm.

Here is the class description:
Take your Copic coloring to the next level with a focus on light and shadow. Learn how to use a basic light guide and practice coloring images with light coming from different directions. You should have an understanding of basic techniques using Copic markers and should have taken the Copic Basics class or an equivalent previously. You will complete two cards in this class.

Basic Copic Class.

We still have spots open in our Basic Copic Class scheduled for tomorrow (Tues) evening from 6-8pm! Come learn all the basics of using the Copic markers - and leave with these three adorable cards!! Call or stop in to register.

Gifts Department.

Today I wanted to share some of the changes our Gifts Department has recently made. We actually swapped two entire sections of the department with each other, so you will definitely want to be aware of the new locations when you stop in for your favorite products.

In the front of the store where our greeting cards and wrapping paper used to be, you will now find our candle shop - filled with every shape, size, and type of candle you can imagine!

And back by the coffee shop where the candles used to be you will now find the greeting cards, wrapping paper, and as well as other miscellaneous gift items.

Because of the change our mini-plates and stands also did move to the wall of the coffee shop facing the front registers.

If you have any questions when you come in be sure to ask a sales associate and they can definitely direct you to the right location as well!

Make & Take Day!

You are definitely going to want to make some time to stop by Crafts Direct next Monday (9/17) between 3-7pm!!!

We are going to be offering FREE Make & Takes from some of your favorite companies, including: Fancy Pants, Echo Park, Carta Bella and Vinyl Words. They each have some very fun projects and cards ready for you to create - you won't want to miss it!

Saturday Events.

In honor of our 22nd Anniversary Celebration, this month we are offering free Make & Takes and product samples each Saturday from 1-3pm. This Saturday (Sept. 15th) we will have two adorable projects to create and will be sampling our Wind & Willow dips as well.
 
The first project that we will be offering is the cute Halloween Card you see below. Join Heather at our Paper Crafts demo counter between 1-3 to make one for yourself!

At our Beads & Basics demo counter, Brianna will be helping your create this fun Jack-o-Lantern magnet, by embellishing a simple glass marble!

In addition to the projects you can create on Saturday afternoon, you will also be able to sample three flavors of our Wind & Willow dip mixes in our Kitchen display room at the front of the store. The flavors we will be sampling are Chipotle Cheddar, Back at the Ranch and Cheesy Bacon. This is a great opportunity to give them a try and find a favorite (or favorites) before your holiday entertaining begins in a few months.

Coloring with Copics.

Today I wanted to share the new cards that we will be creating in our next few sessions of our Coloring with Copics class.

This class is for anyone that has completed our Basic Copic Card class or has previous experience with Copic Markers. If you would like to sign up for this advanced class it is scheduled for Tuesday, May 22nd from 6-8pm. If you would like to make these cards but need a little practice first - then you can always sign up for our beginner class in June and then work your way into this class later this summer.

Heather has done an amazing job on these cards and they certainly would be so fun to give or receive!

Card Chaos for Everyday Moments.

A few weeks ago we hosted our second 'big' Card Chaos event at the Moose Lodge. And once again the event was a huge success! We had such a great time with those of you that were able to attend the event.

Those that did attend moved from station to station throughout the day to create the TWENTY cards that you see below! I have included links to the project sheets for each of these cards for those of you that would like to recreate any of these projects.
