Day 6: Memo Boards

With all that you have to keep track of and organized this time of year a memo board is something that will always come in handy. Why not create a fun and festive place to keep all your notes and to-dos that is not only useful but also decorative as well!

All you need is a few supplies and you can turn one of our 12x12 frames into a magnet memo board that you may not want to cover up with notes after all.

Over the next few weeks I'm excited to share with you some new project ideas our team has recently created. Even more exciting is that all of these projects will be using pieces that are currently ON SALE as part of our Anniversary Sale Ad!

Project Ideas: Memo Boards

I've shared different Memo Board project ideas plenty times on the blog before - and today I wanted to share with you our latest samples. The best part about these pieces is that once you have the main components (the frame, the bulletin board or magnetic board, and if you are making a calendar the overlay) - by just changing out the paper and embellishments you use you can create an entire new look for each month or season (or just to change it up!).

New Memo & Calendar Boards.

Today I wanted to share with you a few new samples of our memo/calendar boards that Sarah Lynn created.

If you happen to have one that was decorated with a Christmas theme - now is the perfect time to simply swap out the paper and embellishments and create a new look for the upcoming season/month. And if you don't have one already - this is a really easy, fun way to get crafty and also a useful piece to add to your home!

25 Days of Christmas 2011: Day 8

Day 8: Memo and Magnetic Boards

A fun way to add some practical holiday decor to your home or office is with one of our Memo or Magnetic boards. Decorated as a calendar or a holiday board they create a perfect place to keep track of your holiday events, hang Christmas cards, or display holiday photos. The best part is once you have the frame created you can easily change out the embellishments and paper to create a new look for the next month or season. Here are few that we created for December and January:

25 Days of Christmas: Day 16

Day 16 : Magnetic Memo Board - We carry a variety of 12x12 memo boards that you can alter to make your own. This one is made using the magnetic dry erase memo board and is decorated in a winter theme. Here is another one we made but it done in a spring theme. Crafts Direct carries the supplies to recreate this memo board and others such as: mdf calendar, mdf magnetic note board, 24x36 memo board, 12x12 cork board, 12x12 magnetic recipe board, and this 12x12 dry erase board. The possibilities are endless.



Supplies:

• 12x12 magnetic dry erase board
• acrylic paint
• glue runner
• a few sheets of coordinating papers
  
• various size clear marbles
• ultra seal
• multi pack of mirrors
• snowflake stickers (we used K & Co.)
• 527 glue
• magnets
• circle punches
  

Steps:

1. Paint frame on memo board with a few coats of acrylic paint. Let dry.
2. Punch various size circles from papers to fit on the back of clear marbles.
3. Using ultra seal as the glue adhere paper circles to the back of marbles.
4. Tear corners from two different papers, making one bigger than the other and adhere to one corner of memo board with glue runner.
5. Apply sticker to the paper on memo board and to a few of the mirrors.
6. Using 527 glue magnets on the back of the mirrors with stickers and the paper covered marbles. Let dry.
7. Apply magnets you made to your memo board and put to use.
