Project Ideas: 12x12 Shadow Boxes (for Mom)

If you are still trying to think of a gift idea for Mom I have a couple projects that would be great to share with you today!

Moms always love displaying their favorite photos of their kids (and better yet if you have a photo with mom in it too!) so why not make a decorated shadow box to show off her favorite photo.

New in Fabrics.

Today I have a few photos from around our Quilt  Shop to share with you. We have a lot of new fabric lines now in - and so many would be perfect for those Spring and Summer projects you want to get working on!

You can find all of these fabrics on the four way display racks in our Fabrics department.

Upcoming Classes.

Looking ahead at the week we have some great classes on the schedule and luckily a few of them even have some open spots for you to join us!

Tomorrow (Tuesday May 7th) we have a couple of spots open in our Coloring with Copics class. If you've taken our Basic Copic class or have experience with the Copic markers this class if for you! Join Heather to learn a few of the more advanced techniques in this class.

On Wednesday (5/8) the first session of our Wilton: Course 3 (Gumpaste & Fondant) cake decorating class will be held. Join us for this four session class and learn the techniques of using these icing types to create a stunning cake.

Finally, we do also have some spaces open in our Crop scheduled for Friday night (May10th). Join us for an evening of creative time, dinner is provided as are snacks, a goodie bag, and the chance to win some fun prizes!

Stamp of the Month - May.

Below you will find the Great Impressions Stamp of the Month products for May . (You can find them on the middle endcap between aisles 9&10 in our Paper Crafts Department.) This month's stamps follow a spring theme with images ranging from kites to hot air balloons and include general "thinking of you" sentiments.

National Scrapbooking Day!

As you may know Saturday is National Scrapbooking Day!! 

To celebrate we will be offering two FREE Make and Take projects on Saturday here at Crafts Direct and we would love to have you join us as!

Both Make and Take projects will be offered at our Paper Crafts Demo counter. You can join Megan from 10am-12pm to make one of these Decorative Spool Layouts using paper and stickers from the Pebbles Walnut Grove line, paper straws and wooden spools. Use them as a decorative piece as you see them here - or adjust the stickers slightly and add a photo to the layout for the display.

Megan will also be hosting the Make and Take from 1-3pm where you can stop by and make a Photo Mini Book using one of these three Echo Park lines. You can choose between the boy, girl, or For the Record line and leave with a book ready to be filled up with photos!
