Project Ideas: Cascade 220 Yarn Projects.

Today I have some great new project ideas to share with you! All three of these projects were created using patterns from the 60 Quick Knits book (pictured below)  - which you can find here at Crafts Direct and it retails for $17.95.

For the samples we used the Cascade 220 Super Wash Yarn and love both the way looks and feels on the completed pieces.  You can find a variety of colors of the Super Wash Yarn (and also peak at the completed samples) in aisle 28 of our Fabrics Department.

Weekend Events: Make&Take and Demo.

In honor of National Craft Month we will be offering free Make & Take projects every Saturday throughout the month!

Join us this Saturday between 1-3pm at the Paper Crafts Demo Counter to make this Color Outside the Lines Pencil Box.

Crafts Direct Tour: Yarn Aisles.

Today I have another virtual tour to share with you - this time of our Yarn aisles/selection. You can find the many different types, styles, brands, colors, etc of yarn that we carry in three aisles (26-28) as well as numerous endcap displays.

Project Ideas: Yarn Caddy

Today I have a fun project to share with you from our Fabrics Department. Recently we started carrying these wheeled wire baskets - which of course you could use for many purposes and also had lots of different decor possibilities as well.

One of the ideas our Fabrics Department came up with was to use it as a YARN CADDY - and they even created this great fabric liner for it. The liner could be used with many different uses (although I really do love this idea of having a basket full of yarn on wheels :) so we have created a project sheet with full project instructions and patterns, which we have posted on our website.

Purple Pride.

Are you a Vikings fan? Or do you know someone who is?

Today I want to share a scarf sample we created using ruffle yarn that would be a great way to show your purple pride! Following the simple knitting instructions on the yarn packaging we were able to create this fun, unique look due to the design of the yarn itself.

Of course this project isn't limited to us Vikings Fans - we have ruffle yarn available in a variety of colors and color combinations. You can find all of the ruffle yarn in our Fabrics/Quilt Shop department.

New in Fabrics.

Today I am excited to share some new items from our Fabrics department with you!!

First up - new tweed stripe yarn from Vanna's collection. Love the colors available and the color combos of the stripes!! You can find these colors (and more!) in aisle 29.

We also just received in these four new Candlewicking Pillow kits. Apparently this is something we carried years ago - but just now got some new kits in. I love the designs and the neutral color palate of them!! You can find them in aisle 23.

Next, if you love the Lots to Love Dolls...we now have Lots to Love Bath Dolls. They are a bit smaller than the other dolls and come with cute outfits and ducks. We have these four styles/colors available and you can find them on a back endcap in our fabrics department.

 

And finally for any of you that sew or quilt, you can find some really cute Valentine and St. Patrick Day fabrics for your upcoming projects on a back endcap in our fabrics department as well.

 

Cotton Fleece Yarn.

Any of you knitters or crocheters out there will be happy to know that our quilt shop now carries Cotton Fleece yarn in a variety of colors! I only photographed a few of the colors that we have available - but you can find the entire line and all the colors in aisle 27 of our store. It's perfect for any of those holiday gifts you still need to work on!
