Pictures with Santa, Saturday, November 22

Santa will be visiting Crafts Direct November 22nd from 11am to 2pm.
Stop by the Fall & Halloween Store and get your picture taken with him!

(This is a fund-raising event for Toys For Tots - a one dollar minimum donation will be required per picture.)

This free frame make & take will also be offered during this time at the Fall & Halloween Store.

25 Days of Christmas 2012: Day 3

Day 3: S is for Santa Paper Mache Letter

Today I wanted to share one of our paper mache letters that we decorated in a Santa theme. This would be a great decor piece and is very easy to create - all we did was paint the letter with red paint, added a belt buckle (which you purchase as shown) and then used hot glue to add the feather boa to the two edges of the letter. You can find all our large paper mache letters in the back of the store by our Beads & Basics demo counter.

25 Days of Christmas 2011: Day 7

Day 7: Santa Jar & Clear Tube

Today I have two Santa themed projects to share with you. First up is this Santa Jar. For this project we just used Mod Podge to adhere squares of red tissue paper to the outside of a standard jar and then added the belt (which you can find in aisle 19). This would look really cute filled with flowers or a holiday arrangement or also just filled up with some Christmas treats.

The second project is one of our clear tubes decorated to look like a Santa belt with some simple felt and a chenille stem. Filled up with candy this is a perfect stocking stuffer or small gift for someone on your list! A project sheet for the Santa Belt tube can be found HERE.

 

Pictures w/ Santa and Free Make-n-Take

Santa will be at Crafts Direct tomorrow (in our classroom) from 11 to 2, so stop in and have your photo taken with him, with a dollar donation to the food shelf. After having your picture taken, stop back at the end of Aisle 19 to make this cute clothespin, perfect for holding the photo of you and Santa. We hope to see you!

Pictures With Santa This Weekend!

Stop in this Saturday or Sunday, November 21 and 22nd from 11am to 2pm, to have you or your child's picture taken with Santa, with a dollar donation to the food shelf. (Pictures will be taken in the classroom) It was so successful last year that we are doing it again this year. After the kids have their picture taken with Santa they can stop back at the end of aisle 19 to make a frame to put their picture in, free of charge. So mark your calendars and be sure to stop in.

25 Days of Christmas: Day 14

Day 14: Santa & Rudolph Wood Spoons - Aren't these just the cutest? This would be a great project to do with the kids, especially today. With all the snow we are expecting it is a perfect day to stay inside and craft. The instructions for the spoons can be found here and here. The patterns for them can be found here and here. Thank you to everyone that came out and had their pictures taken with Santa and donated to the food shelf. We raised about $140. This was the first year we had Santa at our store and we had a great response and plan on having him in the years to come. My daughter even had her picture taken and I don't think it could have turned out any better! Thanks again, and Happy Holidays!

SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO CRAFTS DIRECT THIS WEEKEND!


Stop in on Saturday, November 15th between 11am & 2pm and get your picture taken with Santa. Just make a one dollar donation to the St. Cloud Food Shelf, and you will get a copy of your picture and you can decorate a frame to put it in.
