Project Ideas: Graudation Projects.

We are almost to May....which means Graduation season is right around the corner! Whether you know a PreSchool, High School, or College graduate - or maybe you are the one planning the party for a graduate - we have lots of gifts, projects, and decorating ideas here at Crafts Direct!

We have three endcaps at the front of the store full of Graduation Paper Crafting items (for invites, cards, display boards, etc) and Party Supplies (paper plates, napkins, banners...).

We also have pulled together some additional ideas on our Pinterest Board from around the web. And today we have a couple of new projects we have created in store as well!

First, we have a Happy Graduation Clear Tube that we simply filled with white Sixlet candies, added some Graduation stickers and a red ribbon. Not only does it look like a rolled diploma - but the recipient has a cute keepsake and some treats too. You could also fill the tube with money to give as a gift too.

Another project idea that would be great as a gift or to display at a graduation party is this "Go Confidently" 12x12 Shadow Box! We have a full supply list and complete project instructions for you to follow on our website HERE.

And finally today, a quick and easy project that we offered as a Make & Take earlier this year - but a fun Christmas project and sentiment none the less!

From 1-3pm - We will be offering Loom Band Bracelet demos at our Paints & Basics demo counter. - Loom Bands Bracelets are unbelievably popular and really easy to make once you know the basic steps. From 1-3pm - We will also be offering this Stamped Halloween Notepad Make & Take at our Paper Crafts Demo Counter. You can find more information about this project HERE.

Upcoming Events: Mummy Make & Take.

In honor of our 23nd Anniversary Celebration, we have some great Make & Takes and product samplings scheduled this month. (You can check out the complete calendar of events HERE.)

This Saturday (Sept. 7th) we will be offering this Mummy Clear Tube as our Free Make & Take project. The make and take will be held from 1-3pm at our Paper Crafts Demo Counter. We hope to see you there!

Project Ideas: Clear Tubes.

Good Morning and Happy Monday!

Looking ahead at the week and have some fun stuff to share with you here on the blog - watch for a few project ideas posts, some kids crafting ideas/products, and some information on a couple upcoming quilting events!

To start things off I have some ways you can alter/decorate/use the clear tubes we have available in our Paints&Basics department.

They come in a variety of sizes and can used for anything from a birthday gift to party favor to a photo holder. Here are a few of our latest project ideas using these fun, versatile pieces:

Washi Week: Wednesday.

 Washi Week Wednesday is here :)

Today's Washi Tape projects are all about gifting and how you can use Washi Tape to decorate any package, bag, box, or favor. These projects would work with any design or color of Washi Tape and the best part is that you only need a small amount of tape to add a lot to a package so you will have plenty left to use on another project - or just add your leftover tape to your wrapping supplies and have it handy whenever you have something to wrap.

This decorated bag would be great for a gift or a goodie. Washi Tape was added to the bag, a small tag, and the outer edge of a clothespin as an added touch.

You can also add Washi Tape to gift boxes - I especially love how Melissa added this tape to the box and the addition of the multi-colored twine is perfect!

You can also go with one color scheme of Washi Tape as we did here on the kraft colored gift box, and then find a matching flower or bow for the top.

And finally, why not wrap a clear tube with Washi Tape? This would be great filled with treats and used as a favor at your next birthday party, BBQ or baby shower!

Father's Day Ideas!

Father's Day is coming up this weekend so I thought I would share some fun and crafty project ideas with you that would be perfect for dad!
