Over the past few months I have definitely seen the popularity of lockets with charms grow by just the number of posts I see around on Pinterest, Facebook, etc. not to mention the people I see wearing them as well.
Did you know that we carry a line of lockets (necklaces, key chains, bracelets, key holders) and charms as well?
At our customer service counter you can find this full line by Forever in my Heart! You can build the perfect locket to tell the story of a graduate, a mom or grandma who is cherished, or just your own story and fill it with things that represent what you love.
The prices on these pieces are also so much more reasonable than some of the other lines you will find. The locket pieces range in price from $14.99-$19.99 and the charms are only $3.99 each!
So if you need a gift idea or have been wanting your own charm filled piece definitely come in and check them out.

New in Floral.
Today I have a new little room that our Floral department has filled with all kinds of fun new items to share with you!
You will find this area toward the front of the store - by the vinyl room and in front of aisle 8. Recently the Floral department took it over and filled it with some of our most popular items - including pallets, succulents, and floral displays. I love this little corner and the feeling of spring it gives. Definitely check it out the next time you are in the store!
Our floral department also has a huge selection of custom arrangements (including many using succulents) available for purchase as well! You can find them by the Floral demo counter.

Project Ideas: Metal Trees
Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend - and have a great Monday too!
Today I wanted to share with you a couple of new project ideas we have created using two different styles of metal trees we have available in store.
Both come finished in a black color - but can be altered in numerous ways - and are obviously great for posting photos and notes and can be used with a variety of magnet options too!
You can find a project sheet with detailed instructions for each project by clicking the project names below.

Floral Favorites.
Today I'm excited to start a new Blog Series and share it with all of you!
I thought it would be fun to ask the employees of each of the stores departments to share with us some of their favorite products- either new products that are now favorites or even all-time favorites that have been around for years.
We are going to start with the Floral Department today.
Jacquelyn (the team leader in Floral) shared that her favorite right now is all the new flowers that we have gotten in this spring. There are a lot of new varieties and have great quality and more uniqueness for making bouquets and arrangements. (Plus who wouldn't love to add a little color to their lives right about now!)
Meredith's current favorites are these new feather products. They come in new vintage colors and as peonies! They can also add a lot to a bouquet with other flowers. (You can find these feather items in aisle 3)
Angie's favorite product right now are the Natural Fillers - especially the Sweetgum and Cocklebur. She added that "It's a great way to make decor fun!" You can find these items in aisle 3, and also on a wing by the front endcap of aisle 3. On this endcap you can also check out a display we created using these natural fillers too.
Carri Ann shared that her favorite floral items are the new poppy flowers - and you can find them in just about every color!
And finally, Brittany's favorite is Glitter Ribbon. You can find this in a variety of sizes, lengths and either with a silver or black backing. You can find the ribbon (as well as this display to see what size you need) in aisle 1 of the store.
I hope you all enjoyed a peek at what our Floral department's favorites are...and now I'm wondering what are your favorites from Floral?

Project Ideas: New Vinyl Samples
Today I wanted to share with you some new project ideas we have created using vinyl sayings that we have created recently using various pieces from around the store.
Using a basic 12x12 frame (that we painted), a mirror, vinyl (that was used as a mask) and some black spray paint we created this unique Welcome Sign.
We created this Count Your Blessings piece by just adding some pattern paper squares to the edges of the wood plaque (that comes painted and finished) and then applying the vinyl to the center of the plaque.
The Family Birthdays vinyl comes with the title and the strip of months. For this piece we just painted a wood plaque, added the vinyl and some pattern paper to the piece. We then added the birthdays for each month by using key tags attached with eye hooks.
And finally we used vinyl to mask out the words on this Welcome Pallet Plaque. We simply applied the vinyl to the piece, painted over the wood (and vinyl) with black paint, and then removed the vinyl to reveal the letters from the wood grain below. All of the vinyl for this project comes as a single piece- all you need to do is trim it apart to fit on each slat of the pallet.

Project Ideas: Lazy Susans
Recently we got a new product in store - wood lazy susans - and today I wanted to share a few project ideas we created using them!
All of them are very easy projects to complete - and would be great for a dining table, coffee table - or even as a wall hanging too.
I have included a link to a detailed project sheet for each of the samples too - so click over to find a list of supplies and instructions for each piece. In addition, we have created a Pinterest board with a few other ideas on how you can alter this piece to make a fun (and functrional!) project.

Project Ideas: Trendy Expressions Frames
In our Paper Crafts Department you can now find these new frames from Trendy Expressions.
They come in various shapes and sizes and can be found on a middle endcap display. Today I wanted to share a few of the project samples we came up with using the frames.
If you are looking for something a little different and fun - these frames are the perfect way to add something a little unique to your space. You can decorate and embellish them with paper and embellishments as we have done in the samples - or you can go as simple as you would like and maybe just add a coat of paint and a photo.
