Project & Layout Ideas: Simple Stories.

Over the past couple of weeks we have been working on putting together layout ideas and project samples using all of the new paper lines we have recently received in our Paper Crafts department.

Today I wanted to share some of the new projects we have created using lines from the company Simple Stories. We do have additional layouts and projects that we are posting this week - which you can find on our Pinterest board and Facebook page.

First, using the Simple Stories Smarty Pants line Melissa created these layouts and card:

She also made this great little Learn Live Grow sign using pieces from the paper line and a 5x5 Tile. You can find project instructions for this piece HERE.

Another new line from Simple Stories is the Say Cheese line. With this line Melissa created some layout ideas (which she also used divided page protectors on), a card, as well as a few decor pieces.

Magic Scroll Frame - You can find a project sheet HERE.

Smile Hanging Sign - You can find a project sheet for this one HERE.

Project Ideas: Doodlebug Happy Harvest

I wanted to share one more post today - to show you these adorable layouts, card and project that our designer Sarah Lynn created using the Doodlebug Happy Harvest line! All of us here especially love this Keep Calm and Gobble On Easel. Wouldn't it be a great addition to your fall decor, or a great piece for your Thanksgiving table setting?!

You can find a project sheet with instructions on how to make one for yourself HERE.

Also be sure to pick up a few extra pieces from the Doodlebug line and make a layout or card too!

Layout Samples: Project Life.

I'm so excited to share today's post with you!!

A couple weeks ago we welcomed the arrival of Project Life to our shelves and with it opened the door for this great new system of scrapbooking with all of you. Even though this really is a simple and easy way to get photos and memories down into a scrapbook, I know that sometimes it is hard to envision the actual product in use by just looking at the product itself.

There is of course lots of great Project Life inspiration available all over the internet - but we also wanted to share some layouts from designers right here at Crafts Direct too. You will be able to find these layouts displayed in-store with our Project Life products if you want to take a closer look.

Also we will be offering a FREE demo/project life layout on Saturday July 20th from 1-3pm at our Paper Crafts demo counter to help get you started on using Project Life! Each participant will receive one Project Life page protector as well as a few cards to place in the pockets of the page. You can then finish the layout by adding your own photos and embellishments. I will be posting more information about the demo next week!

Now onto our Project Life layouts:

Heather created a layout using the Midnight Edition to document the week of June 8-14:

Heather also created this single page spread about a camping trip - this is a great example of how you can always just incorporate pieces of Project Life into your regular scrapbooking album if you don't want to use it for all your photos:

Kristine created a layout using the Kraft Edition kit about a week spent in Mexico:

Melissa also used the Midnight Edition to create a layout about a getaway to Stillwater:

I also jumped in on the fun (I'm a huge fan of Project Life!) and created a layout using the Kraft Edition about a regular summer week for our family:

And last, but certainly not least!, Sarah Lynn created a layout using the Kraft Edition about a trip to Utah:

I hope you all find inspiration through these layouts and join us to learn more about Project Life on July 20th!

Product Feature: Happy Camper line.

Today I wanted to share some of the great project ideas our designer Melissa came up with using the fun Happy Campers line from We R Memory Keepers. This is such a perfect line for documenting or creating projects for summer trips, time spend outside, at the lake, or camping. You can find all the paper line (and all the supplies to create the coordinating projects) on a back endcap in our Paper Crafts department.
