Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Have you figured out what you are giving mom this Mother's Day?  Below are some project ideas as well as some products that Mom might enjoy receiving on her special day!

Project Ideas: Metal Containers.

A newer product to our Seasonal Department are these Metal Containers - they come in a variety of colors, and as you can see are great for a variety of uses as well. Add a chalk label or a vinyl saying and you have a great bin for organizing in your home or office, a place for beverages at your next party, or to fill up with gifts and use as part of your packaging.

You can find the containers (along with the vinyl and other decorating supplies) in our Seasonal Department outside of the Vinyl Room.

Day 12: Glass Block

Today our Glass Blocks are the Crafts Direct Daily Deal item! (They are on sale today only for 3/$10.) At that great price they are perfect to pick up and do some Christmas creating. Project Ideas: Break Glass Frames

I'm so excited to share these super fun project ideas with you today!! Megan created these "Break the Glass" samples - and each one is awesome! All the the samples use the same basic supplies - a small frame, paint, some pattern paper, the vinyl saying, and a small insert item - we show three ideas but you could use anything and then best part is you can use what is best for you or whoever you might give one of these too.

MORE Gifts for Mom.

On my last post I forgot to share the items I had picked out from our Gifts Department!...Which is crazy because our Gifts/Home Decor areas have some of the best stuff for mom.

The few things I wanted to share was a couple of items from our jewelry area. We have necklaces, watches, earrings, bracelets available - but I particularly liked the two necklaces below. Mom's would love them!

Another "can't go wrong" gift idea would be some of the Wind & Willow dessert and dip mixes - we also have dip chillers and serving bowls that you can pair with the mixes to create a fun little gift basket too.

Gifts for Mom.

If you are still thinking of ideas on what to get Mom for Mother's Day, I have pulled a few items together for you today. I have selected only a product or two from each department to feature, so obviously there are so many more options available to you in store as well.

And of course a gift card to Crafts Direct for mom is always a good option if you don't want to pick out a specific product too.


From our Quilt Shop:
- A stack of some fun new fat quarters would be a great idea - they always come in handy for quilters - plus picking out some new, colorful designs is always fun too

-If your Mom likes stitching- a great little gift would be a dishtowel, some iron-on transfers and some new embroidery floss. We have so many different options when it comes to styles and designs of the transfers I'm certain you could find the perfect fit for your mom!
 

From our Paints & Basics department (and probably their most popular Mother's Day gift item) another great idea is to make mom a stepping stone. We have a few different options available when it comes to making your project - we have kits that come with everything you need - or you can also pick out the stone mix, mold, and embellishments of your choice separately too.

They do take a day or two to set though -so if you are thinking of this option I would definitely pick it up today or tomorrow to get it started.

From Paper Crafts I have a few different ideas also:

-First you could pick up supplies to make Mom a Shadow Box. As I shared on yesterdays post we have lots of sample ideas and you can find all the supplies to make your own on a front endcap in our Paper Crafts department.

 

 

-If your Mom has a Cricut or Silhouette machine a fun idea might be to pick up some of the brand new iron-on vinyl, you can find them on the back wall by the Paper Crafts demo counter.

 

Or if you have a Scrapbooking Mom a fun gift could be a kit or a few pieces from one of the new paper lines - within the last couple of weeks we have received in a lot of new lines so I'm sure you could find something that she doesn't have yet.

 

There are plenty of outside gardening and decor items in our Seasonal Department right now that would be great for Mom. A few of our favorites are the wire tricycle planter, and then "Welcome" Flower Baskets.

Speaking of flowers, our Floral Department has a huge selection of premade/custom arrangements that would make great gifts too. You can find them on display by our classroom and floral demo counter.

 

 

Finally, don't forget the coffee shop. A gift card to grab lunch, or a beverage while they are shopping for their favorite crafts is such a great idea too!
