Project Ideas: Coaster Sets.

Today I wanted to share a few of the new project ideas we have come up with using our two types of coaster sets. One set comes as unfinished wood - with four coasters and a enclosed box with a latch. The second type comes finished in black (the holder) and white (the coasters) with an open holding box.

With both the possibilities and ideas are endless - as our designer Megan showed us with the samples she created using them below!

Project Ideas: Loom Band Blocks.

I think it is well documented that we are Loom Band Crazy here at Crafts Direct! We have been having so much fun creating bracelets, coming up with new designs, and sharing how to make them with everyone we can.

One of the pieces we sell here at the store to help in the process of creating bracelets are our Loom Band Blocks. And we wouldn't be Crafts Direct if we didn't want to get crafty with decorating the wood blocks too.

Project Ideas: Burlap Pumpkins.

Now that we are into October I'm definitely starting to think about Halloween and Fall decor - and today I have some projects that are not only fun to create but that are also perfect pieces to add to your fall decor. The great thing about these pumpkins is that you can use them throughout October and November - and they all are created using burlap - which is still one of the most popular items in our store!

Project Ideas: Paint Pails.

Project Ideas: Altered Frames

It really is amazing how just a few supplies can change an entire product. For instance we currently have some general frames available in our Paints & Basics department - a few styles with a title on a white mat and others with a quote or words printed directly onto a white mat. Of course you could definitely pick up the frames and use them as they are - but you can also alter them (with just a couple supplies) to create completely unique and different piece too.

 I really love how these projects turned out and am excited to share them with you! If you would like to pick up some frames to create your own projects you can find them on a back endcap in our Paints & Basics department - and right now the frames are available for only $7.98 each!

You can find detailed project sheets for all of the samples by clicking on the Project Title, but generally we carefully removed the title from the photo mat, altered the mat with pattern paper and washi tape in these two samples and then re-adhered the title using Glossy Accents.

And how the Quote Frame comes - for these samples we simply flipped the photo mat and altered the backside to avoid seeing the quote through the alterations.
