New in Floral: Floral Wall Display.

Today I have a few photos to share of the new floral display wall our floral team has put together. With the cold, frozen world outside - it sure is fun to at least feel like your among plants and flowers while you are indoors - and I think the addition of any of these items to your work or living spaces would definitely be a mood lifter at this point in the winter!

You can check out this display in our Floral department, next to the classroom entrance.

New Floral Displays.

I always love checking out the new display/arrangement ideas our Floral Department puts together!

Recently I realized that they had changed up their displays once again - you can find them in aisle 4 of the store with the glass items.

The love birds display would be great for a wedding or anniversary party!

They also have these lovely display put together on a back endcap - a great mix of greens (moss & succulents) and browns (burlap &rocks).

Project Ideas: Candy Bar

A couple of weeks ago I share a photo of this awesome Candy Bar display our Floral department created on our Instagram and Facebook pages, but today I also wanted to share it here because we now have project instructions on how to create your own Candy Bar sign as well as putting the pieces of the display together.

You can find the instructions on our website here: CANDY BAR DISPLAY.

Candy Bar Displays have become such a popular and fun addition to many events, including graduation parities, weddings, birthdays or would be great for any summer BBQ too!

New in Floral.

Today I have a new little room that our Floral department has filled with all kinds of fun new items to share with you!

You will find this area toward the front of the store - by the vinyl room and in front of aisle 8. Recently the Floral department took it over and filled it with some of our most popular items - including pallets, succulents, and floral displays. I love this little corner and the feeling of spring it gives. Definitely check it out the next time you are in the store!

Our floral department also has a huge selection of custom arrangements (including many using succulents) available for purchase as well! You can find them by the Floral demo counter.

Floral Favorites.

Today I'm excited to start a new Blog Series and share it with all of you!

I thought it would be fun to ask the employees of each of the stores departments to share with us some of their favorite products- either new products that are now favorites or even all-time favorites that have been around for years.

We are going to start with the Floral Department today.

Jacquelyn (the team leader in Floral) shared that her favorite right now is all the new flowers that we have gotten in this spring. There are a lot of new varieties and have great quality and more uniqueness for making bouquets and arrangements. (Plus who wouldn't love to add a little color to their lives right about now!)

Meredith's current favorites are these new feather products. They come in new vintage colors and as peonies! They can also add a lot to a bouquet with other flowers. (You can find these feather items in aisle 3)

Angie's favorite product right now are the Natural Fillers - especially the Sweetgum and Cocklebur. She added that "It's a great way to make decor fun!"  You can find these items in aisle 3, and also on a wing by the front endcap of aisle 3. On this endcap you can also check out a display we created using these natural fillers too.

Carri Ann shared that her favorite floral items are the new poppy flowers - and you can find them in just about every color!

And finally, Brittany's favorite is Glitter Ribbon. You can find this in a variety of sizes, lengths and either with a silver or black backing. You can find the ribbon (as well as this display to see what size you need) in aisle 1 of the store.

I hope you all enjoyed a peek at what our Floral department's favorites are...and now I'm wondering what are your favorites from Floral?

New Floral/Glass Displays.

Today as I was walking through the floral department I noticed some fun new displays they had put together and thought I would share them here on the blog too.

I always love to see what they pull together and what pieces they use! The best part is that the combination of the entire display is great - but if you don't have space for all the pieces or are just looking for an accent or additional decor piece you can take small parts of of the display and recreate them as well. These are also great ideas for your Easter table, Mother's Day brunch, or even a spring or summer wedding.

You can find all three of these displays in aisle 4 of the store.

The Wedding Fair.

For those of you that didn't have a chance to visit us at The Wedding Fair last weekend I thought I would share some photos of our booths and various displays we had set up for the event.

If we did see you there thanks for stopping by - it was great to chat with all of you and we had such a fun day sharing our store with you! We hope to see you here in the store soon - where you can find all the products and ideas you found at the booth - plus much, much more!

Thanks for such a great event!

Wedding Trends & Ideas.

Our Floral Department has been busy the past few weeks putting together some new ideas and inspiration for the upcoming wedding season.

They have so many great ideas and the displays are absolutely gorgeous!!

I especially love this center piece arrangement they created and then added the letters to spell out "come away with me". You could use this same idea and spell out the bride & grooms names, their last name, just married....there are so many options.

Another awesome thing our Floral Department did was create idea/inspiration displays for the different wedding trends we are seeing for 2013. Some of the trends we are seeing are:

1920's Look & Feel (with Laser Die-cuts):

Braids & Chicken Wire decorations:

Backgrounds & Paper Lanterns:

Bark & Birds:

And a really big color this year for weddings - mint green:

I also love this display they created using the large paper mache letters:

Burlap details are also still very popular:

And in case you didn't know: the "official" color of the year for 2013 is emerald green:

We also have a display using purple & white:

Some ideas on how to decorate a arch:

As well as plenty of ideas on the extra little details and flowers/ bouquets too!

If you are in any stages of planning a wedding you will definitely want to stop in soon to check out all the new items and displays!
