25 Days of Christmas: Day 1
Day 1: Paper Mache Trees
Welcome to December and a countdown of 25 different Christmas Crafts as we work our way to Christmas Day. We are actually going to start off our Christmas Countdown with three different projects! All three of the projects use paper mache cones as the base - but each project is definitely unique. You can find supply lists and project instructions for each of the projects by clicking on the project names below.

Geo & Deco Mesh Trees.
One of our most popular Christmas projects in the past has been our Geomesh Tree project. This is such a fun craft, that is easy to complete and would be a welcome decoration to any little space in your home or office. A project sheet with detailed instructions on how to make your own can be found HERE.
So if you need a new tree project, or want to give both a try stop in and visit us soon. These would also make a great gift!!
In addition to the Geomesh Tree, our seasonal department has created a new tree sample using Deco Mesh, following instructions from the idea book shown below. The book contains instructions for 8 different Deco Mesh projects and is only $1.
Here is a photo of the tree sample, which is also on display on the front endcap of aisle 5 in our Seasonal Department.

Tree Display Rooms.
In addition to the Christmas items in the aisles of our Seasonal Department they also came up with and decorated five different Christmas Trees, each following a different theme.
You can find these trees in the various display rooms at the front of the store by aisles 5-8. Of course all the components are sold separately, but I love the look of all the coordinating pieces together on one tree!
Which one is your favorite?

25 Days of Christmas 2011: Day 25
Day 25: Rolled Paper Tree
And finally, today I wanted to share with you this rolled paper tree we created after seeing the idea posted on Pinterest (you can follow our Pinterest board here.) We used one of our 5x9" wood plaques (painted white) and paper from the We R Memory Keepers line. I love the look of the finished project and I really had fun making it too!
Have a wonderful holiday from all of us here at Crafts Direct!!

This year our Christmas trees and garlands have moved from their previous location in the Closeout Store to a new location in the main store...the classroom!
We have a great selection of wreaths, garlands, and trees set up and lots of room to check them all out. Below you can find a video that will give you a glimpse of what we have available and also a little tour on how to find them if you aren't sure where our classroom is.
Many different styles of garlands:
Pre-lit "flat" trees - perfect for smaller spaces or on a porch:
Frosted trees:
And pre-lit garland too:
We hope you can make it in soon to check it all out!!

Homemade For The Holidays

Are you ready for Christmas yet?! It seems to get here earlier each year. This year we are working extra hard to get the new tree themes ready. We are crafting ornaments for some of the trees this year! Homemade For The Holidays is all about giving you great ideas for projects that you can make at home using craft items like paper, clay, foam, pots, sequins, or fabric. Look for the trees & project sheets to be set up in the store by the first week of September, giving you plenty of time to make your own ornaments. Here's a sneak peek at the themes: Monkey'n Around, "Holly" Dazzle, Snowy Forest, & Country Charm.
