Halloween is just around the corner and we have a cute project for you. Meet Franny, Matilda, and Jules. Theresa in the Paints and Frames Dept. made these cuties. I think they are fabulous. She took carvable pumpkins, used painty markers on them to create the witch faces and added very festive witch hats. It is a very quick and easy project for any age.

Winter Land Towels!
It is never to early to start thinking about Christmas, especially here at Crafts Direct. We got in a cute new iron-on embroidery pattern from Sublime Stitching. Pictured are a few samples Leah whipped out this past weekend. I think they are adorable. They would make an affordable hand made gift for some one on your list this Christmas.

My weekend craft project
I had to share with you all, the craft project I finished this weekend. I have never done a quilt before, and have limited sewing experience, but when I saw the pattern for this "Picture Quilt" I knew it was something I had to try.
My sister's wedding anniversary is coming up soon-so I thought this would be the perfect gift for her. It was actually pretty easy & fun to do.
It's a smaller "wall hanging quilt" - (final size is about 1.5 ft x 2 ft) But there are so many different possibilities/variations you can have with this pattern! Next - I'm planning on using this same pattern to do a "memory quilt" for my grandma for Christmas!

Hello Rudolph!
Just because there's no snow on the ground yet - doesn't mean it's too early to do Christmas crafts! And if you're in the Christmas mood, here's a cute craft that would make a great centerpiece decoration. It's a reindeer.....made out of wooden spoons! This is another craft idea from the winter Nicolecrafts Magazine.
