Big Brothers Big Sisters Charity raised $3,900.00

Our Charity of the Week for January 3 - 14th was Big Brothers Big Sisters. With the dollar donation program we have with use of a coupon, we raised $3,900.00 for their organization.

Charity of the Week: Big Brothers Big Sisters

Last week our first Charity of 2013 was presented with a check for the money raised during their time as our selected Charity of the Week!

From January 1st-15th all of the $1 donations (with use of a coupon) went to the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. We ended the two weeks with $6,300 raised and were able to present them with a check in that amount. Thank you once again for giving back to local charities and for your continued support of Crafts Direct and the Charity of the Week program.

2012 Charity Totals.

The final totals are in for our Charity of the Week program for 2012! Thank you to everyone who helped us raise over $187,000 for St. Cloud Area Charities. Your commitment to Crafts Direct and the charities this program benefits is so appreciated. THANK YOU!

Charity of the Week Update.

If you follow us on Twitter or Facebook you have probably seen our updates throughout the year on our various Charity of the Week recipients and the totals that have been donated to each of them. However, since we are a bit past the halfway point of 2012 I thought I would pull together all the photos and amounts for the year thus far and say THANK YOU once again to all of our customers who not only donate to these wonderful local charities, but also with us, embrace this program of giving back!

Our total amount donated (through July 6th) so far this year is an astonishing $82,425!! Below you can see each of the selected charities for the first half of the year and the total amount that was donated to each of them.

2012 Charity Program.

Last week I shared where our totals ended up for our Charity of the Month program in 2011, and today I want to share with you the plans for the program in 2012.

Because of the huge success of the program and also the needs of many different charities throughout our community we have changed the program slightly going forward. For our customers nothing will change - with a donation of $1 to the charity you will still receive 40% off one item - but instead of having only one charity a month we are adding more charities to the line up for 2012. This will allow us to help even more charities and thus more people throughout the new year.

Below you will find the list of the charities that have been selected for 2012 as well as the dates that any donations will go to that particular charity. We are very excited for another great year of giving back to the local community through our Charity of the Week program!
