CHA Winter - Part 2.

Orders have been placed and Sarah and Shannon are on their way back to Minnesota, but here are a few things that they found yesterday while at the show. Now the anticipation and excitement for the arrival of all the great new lines and products can begin!

CHA Winter.

This weekend (and one more day today) the Craft and Hobby Association is holding it's winter trade show in Anaheim, California. In case you are not familiar this trade show is an opportunity for Scrapbooking/Crafting companies to showcase their new products and project ideas. Sarah Lynn and Shannon from our Paper Crafts department are attending the show and placing lots of orders so we can bring these new lines to you over the coming months.

Over the weekend Sarah Lynn sent back photos of a few of the products and samples that caught their eye. It's so fun to get a peek at all the new lines - and even more exciting to know they will be available in store too!

CHA Winter.

Right now in Anaheim California hundreds of crafters are coming together for the Craft and Hobby Association Winter show, and among them are our very own Sarah Lynn and Jodine from our Paper Crafts Department!

They are working hard with all of your favorite companies to place orders and check out all that will be coming to Crafts Direct in the coming months. Even though we all would love to be there checking it all out in person too, Sarah and Jodine have been sending us peeks of a few things that have caught their eye over the past few days - and of course we wanted to share them with you too!

Our CHA Finds!

Two days of the Craft and Hobby convention in Chicago are over! We've seen so many new Scrapbooking products, many of them Halloween, Fall, or Christmas themed (already?!?). We could go on and on about all the new, amazing things we've seen... but here's a list of a few of our favorites:

1. My Mind's Eye Lost and Found 2, and Christmas. They gave the old line a bit of a make-over... still with glittered die cuts, stamps, brads, and awesome papers. New to the line are adhesive pearls, and 6x6 pads.

2. We R Memory Keepers Sew Ribbon & Sew Stamper. The amazing Sew Easy tool has been remade... into a stamp roller. Now, you can simply stamp the stitching look, instead of having to actually thread the needle! The Sew Ribbon is the same concept as the Sew Easy tool, however you punch your paper with the tool, and weave ribbon into your layout or project. Super cool!



3. Simple Stories... all of their new lines are absolutely amazing! We are already big fans of their scrapbooking papers, and all four of their new lines are better than ever. Pictured is the new Happy Day, birthday themed collection. These papers are awesome, and perfect with the divided We R Memory Keepers page protectors. The other three lines are: Generations, Baby Steps, and 25 Days of Christmas.

4. American Crafts Amy Tangerine. Amy Tangerine is a new designer for the company, and their new line is awesome. This line is great because it is very versatile, and combines the designers love for travel, crafts, and fashion. The line can be used for many of different scrapbooking themes!

5. Doodlebug! Of course we had to mention Doodlebug. A few months ago they came out with their Create-a-Card program... now they've expanded it to make card-making even easier. The rack is now going to have small, dimensional stickers, twine, and "doodles" stickers so you can create your own, inexpensive handmade cards. They also released four new paper lines, that are complete with papers, stickers, and embellishments. (The Halloween lines is ADORABLE, complete with little glittered monsters on it!)

CHA Chicago, Day 2

Another full day of fun and crafts is over with. Again today we saw tons of new product that will make great additions to our department.

I know alot of you have been curious about October Afternoon... we saw it, loved it, and ordered it! :) They released a super cute kitcheny line that has a retro look. Our favorite however was their new Campfire line. The great outdoors themed papers, stickers, and chipboard (yup... they've finally added chipboard!) are awesome for all your outdoor memories.

Yesterday we saw an adorable Making Memories Halloween line that I didn't think anyone could top... then we saw Bo Bunny Whoo-ligans today. One word... adorable! Again this year they've made a Halloween line that is cute and whimsical. Whoo-ligans is only one of five new lines they've introduced.

American Crafts is always a favorite of ours. We saw lots of fun new stuff from them! They have two new Dear Lizzy lines that are awesome. Our favorite out of all their new was a line called City Park. It has bright bold colors with trees, flowers, and polka dots. So darn cute. Pictured below is a display with one of the new Dear Lizzy lines, Enchanted.

For all you Tim Holtz fans... be prepared for many more dies and embossing folders from Sizzix! There were many Halloween and Christmas themed dies. Sizzix also teamed up with Basic Grey and made embossing folders that coordinate with last years Eskimo Kisses line. Lots of cool new product coming from Sizzix!

We have a couple more places to check out before we head back home tommorrow. Make sure to check out the Paper Crafts department for all the new product that will be arriving in the next couple months. We need to go back and try and find places for all this new stuff!

CHA Summer 2010 - Day 1

Our first day in Chicago is over! So many neat and adorable products! Here's a few of our fav's:

Creative Imaginations has come up with a much anticipated Harry Potter themed line. There are papers & stickers that are complete with Quidditch, Hogwarts, and Griffindor themes. Perfect for all you HP fans!

We've seen quite a few Halloween lines, but Toil & Trouble by Making Memories is top on my list! It's a traditional line, with the cutest ghosts & skeletons ever! Be prepared for an endcap coming up soon...

Fancy Pants is also one of my favorites... and our store is going to have LOTS of new Fancy Pants! They released four new lines: Happy Together, Tradition, It's Your Day, and Lilac House. All adorable, complete with papers, stickers, rub-ons, and die cuts. It's Your Day was our favorite... a bright colored, gender neutral birthday line. Cute!

Provo Craft unveiled their next big thing... Imagine! The Imagine machine is an electronic die cutter and printer. Definitely a new product that has never been done before! The machine takes any of your existing cartridges, as well as some new cartridges that were released! We're going back to Provo today to learn a bit more...
Anyone who knows me, knows that Doodlebug hands down is my ABSOLUTE favorite... and they didn't disappoint! :) They have five new collections (of course we got them all!) along with coordinating cardstock, buttons and jewels. Our favorite collection Bon Appetit, is a kitchen line in trendy and retro colors... simply adorable!
There's still a lot for us to check out... October Afternoon, Bo-Bunny, American Crafts, and Cosmo Cricket here we come! We have another full day ahead of us , stay tuned!
