Hi Everyone,
Today I wanted to share a few new project ideas using a technique we've shared in the past - alcohol inking. I admit before I tried the technique, it scared me a bit - but after giving it a try once I realized how easy it is- and really not scary at all :)
The biggest hurdle to get over when you try this technique is to just go with the way the colors turn out. You can manipulate how you want them to look (by what colors you choose and the amount of ink you apply) but in the end every product of this technique is going to turn out differently - and that is perfectly OK!
For all of the samples below we followed the general instructions of our previous project sheet for alcohol ink magnets which you can find HERE.
Here are a few additional magnets we created - first we alcohol inked them and then simply added some rub-ons or stamped images once they were dry and embellished with rhinestones on a few as well.
We also used the technique to create these 6x6 tiles. We alcohol inked the tile and then added vinyl or rub-ons to the piece and embellished with a few additional supplies. These would be perfect to display in a plate stand, or add a piece of ribbon to the back with E-6000 glue for hanging.
Finally, we followed the same technique and added a vinyl piece to the front of one of our plain white plates. Again, this piece could be displayed by hanging or simply on a plate stand.
I hope you give this technique a try soon - I know you will love the results!
